beachhutInvite your kids to try something new this summer by keeping a journal. Encourage them to write about their activities and to collect memories—tickets, postcards, candy wrappers, anything! They can draw or collage to make their own unique cover. This is a great way to encourage creativity and a welcome break from the digital world.

Try this activity to make a cover for that special journal.

This travel art can be done in:

  • Cars
  • Planes
  • Trains
  • Hotel rooms

What you will need:

  • Printed Beach Huts Journal Cover template
  • A variety of colored pencils, felt tip markers or crayons
  • Safety scissors and a glue stick

Directions:

  1. Print out the Beach Huts Journal Cover activity sheet.
  2. Put all drawing materials in a zip lock bag ready for transporting. Give your children a tray to work on.
  3. Design and color your beach hut imaginatively!
  4. Glue it to the front of your journal and start filling it with wonderful memories and experiences.
