Do you tend to gravitate to the pool, or truly value the space of an open concept suite? Is your family into funky foods, or do you want to be as close to the beach as possible? Whatever your travel style, Miami has it all for young and old. We’ve compiled a hot-list of some of the favorite hotels in South Beach, downtown, and beyond for your crew vacationing with kids in this sunny, sparkling city.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach

Sweeping view of the downtown Miami city skyline is what will draw you and your family to Fontainebleau. You can even bring pets to this chic spot. Parents might love to steal away for a quick spa treatment as well, and everyone will appreciate the easy beach access for a day out in the sun.

Trump International Hotel Miami

Free access to the Kid’s Club can’t be beat, as well as a giant grotto-like pool for younger swimmers. The pool area has access to the beach for families who want to enjoy both during the day. This hotel provides family-style rooms with kitchenettes, washers, and dryers for extra convenience. The location is optimal near many things to see and do in Miami, including the Art Deco district, Sunny Isles Beach and Aventura.

JW Marriott Hotel Miami

Get off the strip of South Beach and have the family stay at this cozy, modern hotel. Amenities galore seal the deal with a great pool, restaurants, and optional child care if needed. Luckily, each room is equipped with espresso machines to help parents through all the excitement. Flat screen TVs and plush bedding are featured in every guestroom. Sometimes a well-known brand is the best bet when exploring a new destination.

Intercontinental Miami

Be in the center of the action at the Intercontinental, only steps from the Miami Convention Center downtown. Play in the pool or explore the attractions nearby. If the kids need a little down time in the room, have them plug into the video game console or entertainment system for a while, then gear up for a great meal on the town.

Acqualina Resort and Spa

Located a little outside Miami away from all the hustle and bustle is this wonderful retreat in Sunny Isles. Bring the whole brood to enjoy countless amenities and features that only a premier Florida resort could offer. Pick from three pools, hang by the lounge or even bring along your pet to experience all the luxury too. Kitchenettes and giant bathrooms will help families spread out and feel comfortable in their rooms.

Grand Beach Hotel

Ideal for families with older children, indulge in the relaxing atmosphere of a wonderfully luxurious hotel. With the beach nearby and plenty of pool access, the water sports and activities are endless. Have kids and adults learn something new by paddle boarding, jet skiing, or even deep-sea fishing organized by the hotel. Afterward, take a seat at their swanky Chez Gaston restaurant that serves dishes with a little Latin spice.
