Travelling in a big group is always fun, whether you’re going for a getaway with friends, family reunions, or bachelor/bachelorette parties. However, deciding which destination to visit can be tricky, especially if you like to add in some luxury. You need to make sure that the place offers enough to keep everyone in the group happy and have activities and accommodation options geared towards large groups. So, if you need help in organising your trip, here are some of the luxury travel destinations ideal for larger groups.

Abu Dhabi

Stretching from the coast of the Arabian Gulf to the historic city of Al Ain and the stunning desert landscape of Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi makes up 80 per cent of the entire United Arab Emirates. Beyond its luxury resorts and beautiful mosques are magnificent palaces, modern museums, and vibrant theme parks. Indeed, Abu Dhabi has plenty on offer for travellers, making it an ideal destination for large groups.

When visiting Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque should be first on your itinerary. Built in honour of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of UAE, this grandiose mosque perfectly represents Arabian splendour. Then there’s the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum, housed in a stunning building and showcases an incredible collection of art pieces from the 1960s up to the present.

To make the most of your visit to the UAE’s capital city, it may be worth visiting during the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix. The event will take place in November at the Yas Marina Circuit on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Island. This event is very popular, so it is best to book your Abu Dhabi GP F1 tickets in advance.

New York

For many, New York is one of the world’s greatest cities. It’s a city that never sleeps and a global hub for commerce, culture, arts, fashion, and entertainment. As one of the largest cities in the USA, New York has tons of attractions and activities to offer. Saying that there’s something for everyone here is actually an understatement.

New York consists of five boroughs, each offering a distinct atmosphere. You will find some of New York’s most iconic landmarks in Manhattan. Meanwhile, Brooklyn is lined with 19th-century brownstone houses with a vibrant art scene. Queens is pretty diverse, while Staten Island’s historic suburbs are most well-known for their beautiful parks, museums, galleries, and historical buildings.

As the gateway for most arrivals into the United States, New York always has been incredibly diverse. Regardless of what your group wants, there is always something for you to discover here. There’s a wide range of museums and galleries to visit for art lovers. Food lovers will have plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants to check out, and shopaholics will not run out of shops and boutiques to visit.

Kauai Island

The oldest of all the Hawaiian Islands, Kauai covers an area of 562.3 square miles, making it the fourth largest of all the islands. Also known as the Garden Isle, Kauai has incredibly stunning scenery waiting for your group to explore.

If your group is into hiking, you can spend most of your time discovering the island’s many scenic hiking trails. Along the way, you’ll run into secluded beaches, breathtaking vistas, and dramatic cliffs. But if you don’t fancy hiking, there’s a more luxurious way of discovering the island, and that’s going for a helicopter ride. Most of Kauai is inaccessible by road, so the only way to explore the best that this island offers is to hike or go for a helicopter tour. It’s worth looking into some of the sensational luxury Kauai group rentals available so you can immerse yourselves within the Kauai rainforest.

In the northwest of Kauai, you’ll find the Napali Coast State Wilderness Park, famous for its beautiful sea cliffs, majestic waterfalls, and narrow valleys. You’ll find a steep footpath in the park known as the Kalalau Trail. It lies between the beaches of Kalalau and Ke’e and encompasses five valleys, including the Hanakoa Valley, where you’ll find native plant species and old agricultural terraces.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong is well known for being a shopper’s paradise. But there’s so much more to discover as you explore Hong Kong and its bustling streets. Hong Kong is where East meets West,  creating a truly unique culture. There’s also a wide array of attractions, from street markets to towering skyscrapers and idyllic beaches.

As a haven for food lovers, Hong Kong attracts some of the best chefs and restauranteurs in the world. Thus, the city has an interesting gastronomic landscape, with authentic Chinese Michelin-starred restaurants and a myriad of street food stalls selling everything, from a variety of dim-sums to all kinds of milk teas. Hong Kong is also a shopping mecca, with shops, boutiques, and malls scattered all over the city. Shopaholics seeking haute-couture fashion from luxury brands like Chanel, Hermes, Gucci, or Luis Vuitton can hit the city’s upscale malls, such as the International Finance Centre at the Central District.

Not many are aware of this, but Hong Kong is home to enchanting beaches. These beaches are filled with local families and residents suntanning, swimming, and building sandcastles during summer. You can also visit those small islands surrounding Hong Kong Island through regular ferry boats coming from Central Pier.

Ibiza

If your group consists of party animals, Ibiza is the ultimate party destination. And while you will probably spend most of your time partying, there are so many other fun things your group can do here.

Ibiza has no shortage of beautiful beaches. From long stretches of golden sands to craggy coves, it’s not a secret that Ibiza has some of the world’s most amazing beaches. There are plenty of diving spots all over the island, too. And with a little bit of luck, there’s a chance you could bump into a school of dolphins or whales during your dive.

Another great thing about going to Ibiza for group travel is that it offers a wide range of accommodations that cater to large groups. From rustic-luxe retreats to charming boutiques and five-star luxury resorts, there are many incredible places to stay on the island, regardless of the size of your group.
