And if you and your friends are fond of adventures, the experience will be even more memorable! But given the many amazing destinations for adventure travel with friends, you probably need help deciding where to go. So, instead of spinning a globe with your eyes closed, why not check out our list of group getaways for young adventurers?

The Scottish Highlands, Scotland

With utterly stunning landscapes, unique culture, fascinating history, and romantic castles, the Scottish Highlands is the perfect destination for young travelers craving one-of-a-kind adventures for experience days in Scotland. But with such a vast area, it can be tricky to plan your trip to the Highlands.

There are plenty of adventurous things you can do in the Highlands. Start at Loch Ness, one of the world’s most famous lakes. Explore the lake on a boat and see if you can spot the infamous Loch Ness monster. Then make your way towards Ben Nevis, Great Britain’s highest point. The mountain is beloved by hikers during summer and skiers in winter. If you’re here to explore castles, check out the Urquhart Castle, just outside the village of Drumnadrochit, at the banks of Loch Ness. Built during the 13th Century, this medieval castle is renowned for its stunning views.

Your getaway to the Scotland won’t be complete without visiting the Glen Coe Valley, a must for avid hikers. The trail will begin at the Glencoe Village and take you up into the mountain.

Texas, USA

Texas is a wonderful destination for young travellers who love to explore the outdoors. From birdwatching to sport fishing, scuba diving, and hiking, the Lone Star State offers an amazing array of outdoor activities for young adventurers.

Dubbed the “Birding Capital of America”, Texas is home to more than 600 bird species, making it a haven for birdwatchers. Birders should head to the World Birding Centre for a dazzling array of birding opportunities at various locations all over the Rio Grande Valley. Rock climbing is also a fun activity among young visitors. Riddled in mountain ranges, Texas is a hotbed for rock climbers. Texas is also dotted with several ziplining spots, ranging from picturesque to heart racing. In Cypress Valley Canopy Tours, you’ll soar like a bird amidst a patch of ancient trees. There are also sky bridges, rappel, and more!

Visitors looking for glamping adventures in Texas will have countless options to choose from. River and lakeside camping grounds are some of the most popular, and there are also glamping sites in Texas for those who prefer a more glamorous way of sleeping under the starry Texas skies.

Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Zambia

The Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is Zambia’s smallest national park, bordering the Zambezi River and Livingstone town. Established in 1972, this UNESCO World Heritage is built to protect the mighty Victoria Falls. This small reserve extends from Batoka Gorge and continues along the Zambezi River, just above Victoria Falls.

Young travellers who love to explore the wildlife should visit the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. This park is unique because it’s the only wildlife area in Zambia with white rhinos. These animals are protected by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife from poachers. In addition, this little piece of paradise is free from predators, which guarantees an abundance of wildlife encounters throughout the year.

If you’re going to Zambia for the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, consider doing some teaching volunteer whilst there. You will be based in the beautiful rural town of Livingstone, which is a hub for visitors looking to explore Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Travelling as a teaching volunteer around Zambia, you’ll be helping change a child’s life who was falling behind in their education by providing one-on-one attention.

Goa, India

It’s no secret that Goa is a favourite beach destination in India. But aside from its glorious scenic beaches, Goa is also famous for its awesome parties and water sports activities, making it a wonderful destination for young adventurers.

Make your way to one of the most beautiful beaches in this tropical paradise. Relax and soak up the sun, go for a scenic stroll, and do fun water sports. Here, you can go jet skiing, parasailing, water skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving, snorkelling and more! After spending some time at the beach, head to the Dudhsagar Falls, which has a spectacular height of 1,017 feet!

A trip to Goa is not complete without sampling its delicious local delicacies, such as the Goan fish curry, pork vindaloo, and more. When night-time comes, hit the bars and clubs, which you will find mostly in North Goa.

The Algarve, Portugal

Although the Algarve has many fascinating tourist attractions, it’s often overlooked by visitors who will head straight to the more popular resort towns of Albufeira and Lagos. From visiting an old Portuguese palace to wandering around the Old Town and enjoying the buzzing nightlife, the Algarve offers many exciting things to do for the young adventurers.

The Algarve‘s long history dates back to more than 2,000 years, and you’ll learn more about this by exploring the Old Town. Its lovely cobblestone streets are lined with fantastic museums, beautiful churches, and important historical buildings. If you want to explore the great outdoors, head to the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a labyrinth of canals and islands and a breeding area for several birds. Avid hikers can hike Via Algarviana, a 300-km hiking trail, starting from the Spanish border towards Cabo de São Vicente, the southernmost point of mainland Europe.

The Algarve is known for its beautiful sunsets. And after a whole day of outdoor activities, the best way to relax is to marvel at these stunning sunsets. The best place for this is in the tiny town of Santa Luzia, a delightful fishing village on the eastern part of the Algarve. You can stroll along its scenic coast for hours and dine at some local restaurants.
