If you’re anything like me, you’re probably itching to take your next vacation right about now. With the future of international travel uncertain, we all have to postpone booking our European getaways, at least for the moment. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t start planning where we want to go as soon as traveling is safe!

For inspiration, check out our round-up of our favorite European articles from over the years. Whether you’re dying to visit Paris or want to learn more about Italy’s seaside city of Rimini, these posts will have you adding destinations to your Europe bucket list in no time!

Madrid, Spain

Ever wondered what makes Madrid a must-see city? The answer includes a little bit of everything – soccer matches, old-school style neighborhoods, tapas and more! Check out our article to learn more about the thriving metropolis of Madrid. We also provide some tips for working in some more beach time and other Spanish cities into your trip!

Paris, France

For architecture buffs, Paris is one of the most impressive cities out there. The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Musée d’Orsay – there is no shortage of innovative structures and beautiful buildings to feast your eyes upon. Parisian buildings employ a number of different styles, from classical to contemporary. We suggest planning your own architecture walking tour next time you visit the romantic city!

Rimini, Italy

As far as European trips go, it doesn’t get much better than the seaside city of Rimini, Italy. You get to be on the beach and enjoy delicious Italian cuisine in a charming beach town. Need I say more?

Hamburg, Germany

Hamburg is a plucky, artsy and fascinating city in northern Germany. It is also home to a music festival called MS Dockville, which is held in late summer and offers international acts ranging from hip-hop to folk. If you’re thinking of attending the festival sometime, be sure to read our article first for tips on getting there and finding the best eats.

Budapest, Hungary

My cousin Jeanne and I visited the gorgeous city of Budapest last year, and it was one of my favorite trips of all time! We curated a food and drink centered trip, from a cooking class and visit to the Grand Central Market Hall to indulging in a coffee and dessert tour. Lucky for us, every experience was one-of-a-kind and taught us about the rich history of the Hungarian city! If you consider yourself a foodie, you’ll definitely want to give our Budapest itinerary a read.

Vienna, Austria

If you’re traveling with kiddos, Austria is the perfect European destination for you. The city boasts children’s operas, the beautiful Schönbrunn Palace, the Prater Amusement Park and other options for a day of family fun.

Prague, Czech Republic

Prague feels like a Gothic Disney movie – in the best way! The city has retained a charm and mystery that’s outlasted many other European destinations. Visit hipster coffee shops, hidden nightclubs and historic buildings while staying at a bohemian apartment. Read our post for more guidelines for the perfect Prague trip!

London, England (Plus UK Day Trips!)

I may be biased here, but London is my absolute favorite city to visit. They have incredible food from regions all over the world, historical and awe-inspiring museums, botanical gardens and so much more. It’s also super easy to take day trips to places like Bath and Stonehenge. You can never be bored with any amount of time in London. But, if you’re spending only a week there, we have the perfect itinerary for you to visit the lively city.

  • I have been wanting to go to Budapest for some time. There seems to be a special magic in the air in Eastern Europe. It’s like everywhere you look, you could find a reminder of the old country and how life was not so long ago.

  • Andi says:

Great list of spots, like Jenn and Ed, I haven’t spent much time in Eastern Europe but really want to explore there soon. I have lived and visited in a lot of Western Europe and want to discover another part of this continent! Rimini looks nice as well, I haven’t visited that part of Italy, look enchanting!

  • Sarah says:

A great roundup of spots I’d love to revisit! I’m lucky to have visited all these places except Hamburg and Rimini, so I’m going to check out those blog posts now. I’m looking forward to the day we can travel again as I’m sure you are too.

  • Prague feels like a Gothic Disney movie! Love the description. This round-up seems magical for sure and so many places I haven’t been yet.
