This design and coloring travel activity will occupy children on their journey. Athens is the beautiful capital of Greece and is one of the world’s oldest cities. What you will need:
- A printed out template of Greek urns
- Felt tip markers, colored pencils or crayons
Directions:
- Print out Greek urn templates—one is patterned and the other is left blank so kids can create their own design.
- Put all drawing materials in a plastic lidded box ready for transporting. Give your children a tray to work on.
- Ask them what they imagine their urn might have held had it been made in Ancient Greece.
- Invite them to color in the pre-designed urn or create their own pattern on top of the template.
