Invite your kids to design their own colorful wetsuit – encourage them to explore pattern and color and make it as wacky as they like!
Did you know, the modern wetsuit was invented in 1952 by Hugh Bradner, a physicist at the University of California, Berkeley?
This travel art can be done in:
- Cars
- Planes
- Trains
- Hotel rooms
What you will need:
- Printed Wet Suit template
- A variety of colored pencils, felt tip markers or crayons
- Safety scissors, stiff card and glue stick – optional
Directions:
- Print out the Wetsuit activity sheet.
- Put all drawing materials in a plastic lidded box ready for transporting. Give your children a tray to work on.
- Design and color your wet suit as imaginatively as possible!
- Glue it to a stiff card and cut around it to use it as a bookmark or to send it as a postcard.
